Cottage cheese mice
Be creative with Linea cottage cheese, which enhances the diversity of Slovene cuisine with its refreshing flavour. You can use it to fry traditional batter “mice” with a different twist. Simple and scrumptious.
- 200 g Linia Zelene Doline pureed cottage cheese
- 2 tbsp Zelene Doline crème fraîche
- 200 g flour
- 1/2 sachet baking powder
- 1 tbsp icing sugar
- 2 eggs
- deep-frying oil
Sift the flour mixed with the baking powder into a bowl. Add all the other ingredients and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Allow the batter to rest for half an hour. Scoop up the batter with a teaspoon (less than a spoonful), dip into hot oil, release and fry. Fish out the fried mice with a strainer and place on a paper towel to drain the excess fat.
Before serving, dust the mice with icing sugar.
